"... versatile, modern alternative rock, " is how the band described their style on their website. From hard rock in the early years of the band, the band's style has turned to more modern rock sound.
history
Excentric was founded in 1998 by Boris Gisler, Chris Furer, Pivi R. Pieren and Raff Martin. Two years later the band's first EP was released, Gimme your love tonight , which is stylistically settled in the hard rock area. After supporting appearances in Switzerland, Excentric recorded the EP imprisoned with a new line- up, which was released in 2002. To clearly recognize the personal and thus musical changes; the EP sounds more modern and varied.
As a support act for bands like Stefanie Heinzmann , Freedom Call , Chinchilla (Band) , UDO , In Extremo , Shakra and Sentenced , Excentric has built a loyal fan base over the years. In the last formation, Excentric released their debut album Take This! which was produced in the own recording studio Sh! thouse Studio . The thirteen varied tracks include rock numbers, acoustic tracks and melodic ballads. On June 1, 2011, the second album White Knuckle Ride was released , which in turn was recorded and produced in the band's own Sh! Thouse studio . Take This! and White Knuckle Ride are distributed internationally via iTunes .
The band broke up in 2012 after a farewell concert in Sissach.
