Andrew Tennant (born March 9, 1987 in Wolverhampton ) is a British track and road cyclist .
Athletic career
Andrew Tennant became the 2005 European Junior Team Pursuit Champion and the British Single Pursuit Champion . At the Junior World Championships in Vienna he won the gold medal in the single pursuit and silver with the team. The following year he won the European team pursuit title in the U23 class and was successful with Ian Stannard at the UIV Cup in Stuttgart . In 2008 Tennant won gold for the second time at the U23 European Championship in the team pursuit.
Then Tennant started in the elite class, mainly in the team and in the single pursuit . By 2016 he was four times vice world champion in the team pursuit; In 2012 he became world champion in this discipline together with Steven Burke , Ed Clancy , Peter Kennaugh and Geraint Thomas . In 2015 he won a stage of the Flèche du Sud . At the UCI Track World Championships in 2016 , he won silver in the team and bronze in the single pursuit. At the 2016/17 Track Cycling World Cup in Glasgow , he won gold in the team pursuit with Mark Stewart , Oliver Wood and Kian Emadi .
In 2020 Andrew Tennant started with Matthew Bostock in the Berlin six-day race; the team took seventh place.
