The team Wiggins Le Col is a British cycling team based in London .

The team was founded in 2015 to promote the ambitions of the 2012 Tour de France winner and four-time Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins in the track competitions of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . Andrew McQuaid , the son of the former President of the Union Cycliste Internationale Pat McQuaid, belongs to the management of the newly established team . The team is supported by British Sky Broadcasting , which is also the name sponsor of Team Sky , and British Cycling . In the first year of existence, Team Wiggins was registered as a UCI Continental Team . Wiggins himself drove for Team Sky until April 2015 and switched to his new team on May 1, 2015.
