Volta ao Alentejo
The Volta ao Alentejo , in English Tour in the Alentejo , is a Portuguese cycle race in the Portuguese region of Alentejo . The first race of the Volta ao Alentejo in 1983 was won by the Portuguese Paulo Ferreira . In 2005 the UCI classified the stage race, which usually takes place between April and June, in category 2.1 . From 2010 to 2016 it only belonged to category 2.2. In 2017 it was again classified in category 2.1 .
