Carlos Barbero Cuesta (born April 29, 1991 in Burgos ) is a Spanish cyclist who is active in road cycling .

Athletic career

In 2010 and 2011 Carlos Barbero drove for the Naturgas Energía club team. In 2012 he then moved to the Orbea Continental team , which later went under the name Euskadi. In 2013 he achieved his first success in a stage race at the Ronde de l'Isard . The following year he won his first overall classification at the Volta ao Alentejo and his first one-day race with the Circuito de Getxo .

In 2015 Barbero moved to the Professional Continental Team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA . Here he was able to celebrate further successes before moving to the Movistar team in the top cycling class in 2017 . He has now won the Volta ao Alentejo and the Circuito de Getxo twice. At the Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid and the Vuelta a Burgos , he was able to win three stages each.
