Euskadi was a Basque cycling team based in Bilbao .

organization

The team was founded in 2005 under the name Orbea and held a UCI license as a Continental team until the end of the season . She mainly participated in races on the UCI Europe Tour . The team's manager was Miguel Madariaga . The name sponsor until the 2012 season was the bicycle manufacturer Orbea , which in the past supported several cycling teams that bore his name. The first licensed team was formed in 1932. Since 2013 the team was called Euskadi ( Basque for Basque Country).

The team was considered to be the farm team of the Euskaltel-Euskadi team , which was dissolved at the end of the season and which, like this team, was run by the Fundación Ciclista de Euskadi (Spanish: Euskadi Cycling Foundation ) until 2012 .
