Romain Sicard (born January 1, 1988 in Hasparren in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department ) is a French cyclist .

Career

In the junior classes, Sicard devoted himself primarily to track cycling and in 2004, together with Vincent Dauga, became French youth champion in the Madison youth class. In 2006 he finished second in the junior team pursuit and third in Madison.

In 2008 he became the French scratch champion in the adult field . At the UCI Road World Championships 2009 Sicard was U23 world champion in road racing . He then received his first contract with a UCI ProTeam , the Basque team Euskaltel Euskadi

By 2019 he started eleven times in the "Grand Tours" . He achieved his best result at the Vuelta a España 2014 with 13th place overall.
