Claus Michael Møller (born October 3, 1968 in Hjørring ) is a former Danish cyclist .

Athletic career

Claus Michael Møller started his career at Castellblanch in 1995 , after doing an internship at TVM the previous year . After one year at Estepona en Marcha , among other things , he switched to TVM-Farm Frites in 1998 . He rode there for two years before joining the Portuguese cycling team Maia-MSS in 2000 . Here he won his first professional victory in 2001 at the Subida al Naranco . In the Vuelta a España , he reached the same year the second in the mountains classification behind the four-time winner Jose Maria Jiménez ; he also managed a stage win. In 2003 he won a stage for Milaneza and the overall ranking of the Algarve Tour , as well as the eleventh stage of the Tour of Portugal . He moved to Alessio-Bianchi the following year , with whom he took part in the Tour de France and finished it in 70th place overall. In 2005 he went back to Portugal to the small team Barbot-Pascoal . He won a stage of the Tour of Portugal. He ended his career at the end of the 2007 season.

doping

In 1999 Møller was banned for two years after the Tour of Murcia for doping with testosterone .
