LA-MSS

LA-MSS was a Portuguese cycling team .

The manager was Aires Azevedo de Silva and Manuel Ramos Zeferino helped him as the sporting director . Since 2005 the team has participated in the UCI Europe Tour as a Continental Team . The team used to be known as Maia Milaneza until it was renamed LA-MSS in 2007.

2008 season

On May 22nd, 2008 the team headquarters in Pavoa de Marzim, the home of the team boss and the homes of six professional cyclists were searched by LA-MSS. Medicines that can be used for doping have been seized. In addition, the Portuguese police investigated against the Spanish team doctor Marcos Maynar. As part of this investigation, the five drivers Tiago Silva , Rogério Baptista , Claudio Faria , Pedro Cardoso , Afonso Azevedo , the masseur Paulo Silva, the team doctor Marcos Marino Maynar, the sporting director Manuel Ramos Zeferino and the club president Luis Almeida were suspended from the Portuguese Association.
