Ángel Edo

Ángel Edo Alsina (born August 4, 1970 in Gavà ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

Ángel Edo Alsina started at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and finished 15th in the road race . From 1992 he rode for the Spanish cycling team Kelme . In a total of eight years, he won the Ruta del Sol and the Gran Premio de Llodio in his service . In 1994 and 1995 he competed in the Tour de France .

Edo's most important successes were two stage wins at the Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia in 1996 and 1998 . In 2000 he moved to the Portuguese team Maia-MSS . He celebrated stage victories at the Tour of Asturias , the Tour of the Algarve , the Tour of Portugal and the Catalan Week . In the 2005 season he drove for the ProTeam Saunier Duval-Prodir . From 2006 Edo drove for the small Spanish team Andalucía-Paul Versan , won a stage at the Vuelta a Castilla y León and wore the top jersey for one day. The following year he ended his cycling career.
