Trofeo Masferrer

The Trofeo Masferrer , in Catalan Trofeu Masferrer , was a cycling race in Spain that was held from 1932 to 1994 in different places in Catalonia .

In the first few years the Trofeo was a one-day race , from 1940 to 1945 a stage race ; then it was carried out again as a one-day race. The distance was usually around 200 kilometers. From 1963 to 1967 the race served as a stage of the Setmana Catalana de Ciclisme . The most successful driver with three wins was the Spaniard Domingo Perurena .

The name of the race goes back to Narcís Masferrer , the founder of the Mundo Deportivo magazine .
