Noël Dejonckheere
Noël Dejonckheere (born April 23, 1955 in Lendelede ) is a former Belgian cyclist and current team manager.
In 1973 Noël Dejonckheere became Belgian junior champion in the points race , and in 1978 in Munich world champion of amateurs in the same discipline. From 1979 to 1988 he was active as a professional and was under contract with the Spanish team Teka for most of the years . He won the Trofeo Luis Puig three times and is, together with Erik Zabel, the record winner of this race. He started in all major tours and classics , but was rarely able to place prominently. In 1983 and 1984 he was eighth from Milan – Sanremo and won a total of six stages in the Vuelta a España . He also drove eight six-day races , one of which he won in Madrid in 1983 with Josef Kristen .
After the end of his active cycling career, Dejonckheere switched to leading various teams. Since 2010 he has been European Operations Manager of the BMC Racing Team .
