Marat Satybaldiev

Marat Satybaldijew ( Russian Марат Сатыбалдиев ; Kazakh Марат Қуанбайұлы Сатыбалдиев / Marat Kuanbajuly Satybaldijew ; born April 22, 1962 ) is a former Soviet cyclist .

In 1988 Marat Satybaldijew, who started for the SKA Skyl-Odra club , was the Soviet champion in two-man team driving , together with Alexander Alexandrow , and third in the amateurs' points race . In 1989 he won the world championship title in points racing at the World Track Championships in Lyon and the national title in this discipline in the same year.

In 1990 Satybaldijew became a professional and started together with the Czechoslovak Martin Penc in the Berlin six-day race . They were the first professionals from the former Eastern Bloc to start in Berlin; the team finished fifth.
