Ángel Vicioso Arcos (born April 13, 1977 in Calatayud ) is a Spanish cyclist .

Career

Vicioso began his international career in 1999 with the Kelme cycling team .

He won various one-day races and stages, mainly with a small margin or in small groups in sprints. Among his most important successes was the three-time victory at the Gran Premio Miguel Induráin and one-day sections of the Basque Country Tour , the Tour of Catalonia and the Giro d'Italia 2011 .

From 2003 to 2006 Vicioso drove for teams of the team manager Manolo Saiz, who was involved in the Fuentes doping scandal . After he stayed away from the criminal trial against Eufemiano Fuentes in February 2013 as an invited witness , he was temporarily suspended by his employer at the time, the Russian UCI ProTeam Katusha .
