Cream of coconut

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cream of Coconut is a thick cream made from thickened coconut fat and coconut milk sweetened with cane sugar . It is primarily used as a mix ingredient for cocktails such as Piña Colada and other Coladas or Batidas .

It is to be distinguished from coconut cream (coconut cream), which does not contain any additional sugar. Cream of Coconut also differs significantly in consistency and taste from the thicker coconut milk and the less creamy and sweeter coconut syrup, which is often just flavored sugar syrup.
