Fabian Jeker (* 22. November 1968 in Oberdorf BL ) is a former Swiss professional - cyclist .

Career

Fabian Jeker began his professional career in 1991 together with Laurent Dufaux with Paul Köchli's legendary Helvetia team. He was a specialist for smaller tours . His greatest successes include the Tour of Valencia (2001), the Tour of Portugal (2001) and the Tour of Asturias (2003), each of which he won once. In 2004, after just losing the final time trial, he finished second at the Tour de Suisse behind Jan Ullrich , 1 second behind. He was able to win the two-part hill climb, the Escalada a Montjuïc , three times (1996, 1998 and 2000).

Jeker ended his active cycling career in 2006.

In 2016 he became the sporting director of the UCI Women's Team Cervélo Bigla .
