João Cabreira

João Paulo Costa Cabreira (born May 12, 1982 in Aguçadoura ) is a former Portuguese cyclist .

João Cabreira began his career in 2005 with the Portuguese Continental Team Carvalhelhos-Boavista . He has been driving with Maia Milaneza since 2006 . In spring he won the last stage of the Algarve Tour 2006 and was able to take over the top position from Gert Steegmans . He later won a stage in the Tour of Portugal in 2006 and finished the race in fourth place overall.

In May 2008, Cabreira tested positive for an agent that disguised the blood doping agent EPO . He was banned for two years.
