Delmino Albano Pereira Magalhães (born August 23, 1967 in Vila Real ) is a former Portuguese cyclist and since 2012 President of the Portuguese Cycling Federation Federação Portuguesa de Ciclismo (FPC).

Athletic career

Delmino Pereira started cycling in 1984 as an amateur. From 1989 to 2001 he was a professional . During these years he was mainly successful in domestic races. In 1990 he was runner-up on both the Algarve and Alentejo tours . At the UCI Road World Championships in 1991 in Stuttgart , he finished 49th. In 1995 he was third on the Tour of Portugal . In 1997 he won the Grand Prix International de Torres Vedras - Trophée Joaquim Agostinho and in 2000 he was second in the GP Crédito Agrícola da Costa Azul . Twice - in 1989 and 1997 - he was Portuguese road racing champion.

Professional

2001 Pereira resigned from active cycling. Then he and two brothers founded a company for the production of picture frames in his home town. In 2012 he was elected President of the FPC.
