Henry Wallin

Henry Wallin (* 17th July 1922 in Stockholm , † 3. May 2013 ) was a Swedish jazz - drummer .

Wallin came to jazz through a concert by Fats Waller in Stockholm in 1938; In 1939 he had drums lessons with Åke Brandes and later with Anders Soldén. In 1941 he played in the Curt Söderlind Orkester, then in the Miff Görling Orkester and from 1943 to 1946 with Lulle Ellboj in the Vinterpalatset . In the 1950s he worked for Thore Ehrling and Carl-Henrik Norin , and from 1957 as a studio musician for Sveriges Radio . In the field of jazz he was involved in 56 recording sessions between 1942 and 1988. a. with Alice Babs and Charlie Norman .
