Frame construction
Originally, the Pinarella frames - like most racing bike frames - were made of steel . For this purpose, Pinarello mainly used steel pipes from the Columbus company . At the beginning of the frame construction at Pinarello, these were developed and manufactured by Gino Milani. The successor and son-in-law of Gino Milani, Dario Pegoretti, also continued to build frames for Pinarello. All frames were labeled with the word “Pinarello”. Over the years, other materials such as aluminum , magnesium and carbon fiber have also been used. In 2005 Pinarello produced its first all-carbon fiber frame, the F4: 13.
