Gabriel Cullaigh (born April 8, 1996 in Holmfirth ) is a British cyclist who competes in races on track and road .
Athletic career
In 2013, Gabriel Cullaigh was British runner-up in the junior road race. In the following year he won three medals at the Junior European Championships : silver in the team pursuit and in scratch as well as bronze in the points race.
Then Cullaigh put his focus on road cycling. In 2015 he won a stage of the Course de la Paix (U23). In 2016 he finished third in the British U23 road championships and fifth in the U23 European championships . At the Kattekoers , the U23 edition of Gent-Wevelgem , he was also third.
In 2018 Cullaigh achieved his first elite successes: He won two stages of the Volta ao Alentejo and the Rutland-Melton Cicle Classic . The following year he decided another stage of the Volta ao Alentejo for himself.
