Miles Scotson (born January 18, 1994 in Campbelltown ) is an Australian cyclist who is active on track and road .
Athletic career
In 2012 Miles Scotson became Junior World Champion in the team pursuit along with Jack Cummings , Evan Hull and Alexander Morgan . The following year he won the gold medal in two-man team driving with Joshua Harrison at the Oceanic Cycling Championships , in points competition and single pursuit he finished second. In 2014 he became world champion in the elite team pursuit with Luke Davison , Glenn O'Shea , Alexander Edmondson and Mitchell Mulhern .
The following year Scotson was two-time Australian champion (U23) on the road , in the individual time trial and in road racing . The following year he was unable to defend his time trial title as he was beaten by his younger brother Callum by 20 seconds and finished second.
In October 2016 Miles Scotson won the bronze medal at the world championship in the individual time trial (U23). In 2017 he became the Australian road racing champion; with his team BMC he was runner- up in the team time trial of the road world championships.
