Darren Lapthorne

Darren Lapthorne (born March 4, 1983 ) is a retired Australian cyclist .

Darren Lapthorne began his career in 2006 with the Australian Professional Continental Team Drapac Porsche . In his freshman year he won the Teams Road Championships . He also finished third in the Herald Sun Tour . In January 2007 he celebrated his greatest success by winning the road race of the Australian road cycling championship. In 2012 he finished second in the New Zealand Cycle Classic behind his compatriot Jay McCarthy .

After the end of the 2015 season, he ended his active career.
