Stefanie Wiegand

Stefanie Wiegand (born March 22, 1969 in Hattingen ) is a German geologist and politician ( SPD ). From 2005 to 2010 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

In 1988 Stefanie Wiegand passed her Abitur . From 1988 to 1994 she studied geology at the Ruhr University Bochum and graduated in 1994 with a degree in geology. She has been working as a qualified geologist since 1995. From 1996 to 1997 she took a postgraduate course to become a consultant for environmental and quality management systems. From 1997 to 2005 she worked at DNV Certification & Umweltgutachter GmbH, initially as a clerk, then as head of customer service.

Stefanie Wiegand, b. Höfer, is married and has a daughter who was born in 2007. She lives with her family in Südlohn .

politics

Stefanie Wiegand has been a member of the SPD since 2000. Since 2002 she has been chairwoman of the SPD local association Südlohn-Oeding. In 2003 she was elected a member of the state party council of the SPD. In the community of Südlohn Wiegand is a qualified citizen in the building, planning and environmental committee and a deputy qualified citizen in the school and social committee. There she is running for the NRW municipal election on August 30, 2009 for the office of full-time mayor.

Wiegand had been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since June 8, 2005. She was elected to the state parliament via the state reserve list of the North Rhine-Westphalian SPD and represents constituency 78 Borken II . There she is a full member of the Petitions Committee , the Committee on Environment and Nature Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and the Mining Safety Subcommittee of the Committee on Economy, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Energy. As a member of the state parliament, she has been a board member of the Society of Friends and Supporters of the State Music Academy NRW in Heek since 2006 . In the 2010 election she won no mandate.

Stefanie Wiegand was a member of the 13th Federal Assembly , which on May 23, 2009 elected Horst Köhler for a second term as Federal President .
