Travis Meyer
Travis Meyer (born June 8, 1989 ) is an Australian track and road cyclist.
Athletic career
Travis Meyer was Australian junior champion and junior world champion in 2006 on the track in the team pursuit and in the Madison with his brother Cameron Meyer . He also won bronze in the points race at the World Championships in Ghent . The next year he was at the Junior World Championships in Aguascalientes first in the single pursuit , in the team pursuit and in the scratch . He was also in Invercargill Oceania champion in the team pursuit.
On the road, Meyer won a stage in the Tour de Perth in 2007 . Since 2008 he has been driving for the Australian Continental Team Southaustralia.com-AIS . At the Tour of Wellington 2008 he won two stages and was able to win the overall standings.
In April 2014 Travis Meyer was hit by a vehicle during road training in Andorra and taken to hospital with serious injuries; he suffered a skull fracture, a broken jaw, a broken arm and a bruised lung.
