Katarzyna Pawłowska (born August 16, 1989 in Ostrów Wielkopolski ) is a Polish cyclist and three-time world champion (as of 2016).
Athletic career
In 2009 Katarzyna Pawłowska and Magdalena Zamolska became Polish champions in the pair time trial . In 2011 she was on the podium several times at both the European Elite Track Championships and those of the U23. The following year she won her first world title in scratch at the UCI Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne . She was able to repeat this success the following year, at the 2013 UCI Track World Championships in Minsk . Also in 2013 she became Polish champion in the individual time trial as well as in the omnium and in the single pursuit .
At the UCI Track World Championships in 2014 in Cali , she was runner-up in scratch. In 2015 she took second place in the team time trial with the Boels Dolmans Cyclingteam at the World Road Championships in Richmond and won the gold medal in the points trial at the European Track Championships in Grenchen .
A few months later, in March 2016, Katarzyna Pawłowska won her third world title in a points race in London . In 2017 she achieved success on track and road: At the European Rail Championships , she took third place in the team pursuit with Justyna Kaczkowska , Daria Pikulik and Nikol Płosaj ; She won two stages on the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche and one stage on the Healthy Aging Tour . In addition, she was again Polish champion in the individual time trial .
At the 2019 European Games , the Polish women's foursome Pawlowska, Kaczkowska, Karolina Karasiewicz and Płosaj took third place. For the rest of the year, Pawłowska suffered from health problems and was unable to continue her usual services.
