Małgorzata Wojtyra (born September 21, 1989 in Szczecin ) is a former Polish cyclist who was mainly active on the track .

Athletic career

In 2010 Małgorzata Wojtyra, who had practiced rhythmic gymnastics before cycling , won bronze in the Omnium at the 2010 UEC Track European Championships in Pruszków , and the following year she became European champion (U23) in this discipline and vice-European champion in scratch and team pursuit .

2012 brought Wojtyr on track European Championships in Lithuania Panevėžys with the Polish team of Katarzyna Pawłowska , Edyta Jasińska and Eugenia Bujak the silver medal in the team pursuit , as 2013 . At the World Track Championships in London in 2016 , she was runner-up in the singles pursuit .

By 2015 Małgorzata Wojtyra had also won three Polish championship titles. In 2016 she was initially nominated to start in the team pursuit at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but ultimately not considered for the race in favor of a younger female driver.
