Eugenia Bujak (born June 25, 1989 in Lentvaris , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Slovenian and formerly Polish cyclist who is active on the road and track .
Athletic career
Eugenia Bujak was born in Lithuania and grew up with her brother with her grandparents in Paislinis , because her mother had found a job in Poland. She later followed her mother to Poland, where she attended school and was granted Polish citizenship. She started cycling because her brother encouraged her, and in 2000 she joined a cycling club.
In 2012 Bujak finished third at the Polish championship in the individual time trial , and at the European Track Championships she was runner-up with Małgorzata Wojtyra , Katarzyna Pawłowska and Edyta Jasińska . In 2013 she won two national championships, the one in the single pursuit on the track and the one in the road race ; in the individual time trial, she was runner-up. At the EM in the same year she was able to repeat the placement from the previous year with Wojtory, Pawlowska and Jasinska. In 2014 she became European champion in the points race, in the pursuit she finished fourth. In the same year and 2015 she won the national title in the individual time trial.
Bujak started for the Slovenian Cycling Federation in 2018 and became the Slovenian individual time trial champion in her first year .
