Karolina Karasiewicz (born July 23, 1992 in Łódź ) is a Polish cyclist who competes in races on the road and on the track .

Athletic career

Karolina Karasiewicz comes from a cycling family. At the age of six she started cycling and was trained by her father, later she started for the club Społem Łódź and then for the team Alks Stal Ocetix Iglotex Grudziądz . She enjoys cycling because it is not just about “strength in the legs”, but also the mind. Today (as of 2019) she starts for the TKK Pacific Nestle Fitness Cycling Team .

In 2010 Karasiewicz was Polish junior champion in the individual time trial on the road; in the same year she won bronze in the single pursuit and points race at the European Junior Track Championships . In 2015 she became national champion in the elite points race.

In 2017 Karolina Karasiewicz won the title of Polish road champion. In 2019 she had two great successes on the track: First, with Katarzyna Pawłowska , Justyna Kaczkowska and Nikol Płosaj , she finished third in the team pursuit at the European Games . At the second run of the Track World Cup in Glasgow , she won the competition in scratch .

Miscellaneous

In addition to her cycling career, Karolina Karasiewicz is studying rehabilitation education at the University of Łódź . In 2019 she received a sports scholarship from the City of Toruń .
