Rachele Barbieri (born February 21, 1997 in Pavullo nel Frignano ) is an Italian cyclist who competes in races on the road and track .

Athletic career

In 2013, Rachele Barbieri became the Italian cross-country champion . In the following years she shifted the focus of her sporting activities to rail and road. In 2015 she became two-time junior European champion in points racing and team pursuit (with Elisa Balsamo , Sofia Bertizzolo and Marta Cavalli ), and also vice European junior champion in road racing. In 2016 she won the title of European Champion again , this time in the U23 category in scratch .

Also in 2016, Barbieri started in Apeldoorn for the first time in a run of the Track Cycling World Cup and immediately won the bronze medal in the Omnium . The following year she became world champion in scratch in Hong Kong . In 2018 she won the overall ranking of the World Cup in scratch.
