Hugo Haak (born October 29, 1991 in Nieuwegein ) is a former Dutch track cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2008, Hugo Haak was the Dutch runner-up in the junior sprint and third in the Keirin . Two years later he was runner-up in the elite sprint and 2012 runner-up European time trial champion (youngsters).
In 2012 Hugo Haak became the Dutch master in Keirin. The following year he won the national sprint and 1000-meter time trial titles . 2015 Hugo Haak was in Swiss Grenchen together with Jeffrey Hoogland and Nils van 't Hoenderdaal European champion in the team sprint .
After Haak failed to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and suffered from a persistent knee injury, he ended his active career at the end of 2017.
Activity as a trainer
Haak became assistant to the Dutch national coach Bill Huck . After his departure in September 2018, he temporarily took over the post of head coach. In December 2018 he was appointed the new bond coach.
