Yondi Schmidt

Yondi Kevin Schmidt (born April 26, 1987 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Yondi Schmidt became Dutch champion for the first time at the age of eleven in the road race of his age group. He developed into a specialist for the short-term disciplines on the railway. In 2004 he was two-time Dutch champion in the junior sprint and time trial , in the keirin he was runner-up. In 2007 he was national champion in the omnium (youngsters), in 2008 Dutch champion in the elite keirin. He finished second in the time trial and sprint.

At the UCI Track World Championships in 2009 in Pruszków , Poland , Schmidt finished seventh in the team sprint , together with Tim Veldt and Teun Mulder , and eighth with Mulder and Roy van den Berg at the Track World Championships in Ballerup, Denmark the following year .
