Sébastien Vigier (born April 18, 1997 in Palaiseau ) is a French track cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2014 Sébastien Vigier became Junior World Champion in the sprint . Until 2016, he achieved a podium place at the European Track Championships for Juniors and U23s.

At his first international start in the elite at the UEC European Rail Championships in 2016 , Vigier finished fifth in the sprint. Shortly afterwards he won the silver medal in the team sprint together with Benjamin Édelin and Quentin Lafargue in races of the Track Cycling World Cup in Glasgow 2016/17 , and a few days later they repeated this success in Apeldoorn . Vigier took bronze in the sprint in Apeldoorn. The following year, Vigier won the bronze medal in the team sprint together with Édelin and Lafargue at the World Track Championships in Hong Kong . At the European Railway Championships inBerlin in the same year Vigier, Édelin and Lafargue were European champions in the team sprint, Vigier won the individual title in the sprint, after he had already become U23 European champion in the sprint.

In 2018 and 2019, Vigier placed on the podium in the team sprint at the World Championships , the European Elite Championships and the U23 European Championships. At the U23 championships , he won the Keirin title. In the same year he won the Keirin competition at the World Cup in Glasgow .
