André Gruchet

André Gruchet (born April 17, 1933 in Épinay-sur-Seine , † May 3, 2015 in Challans ) was a French track cyclist .
André Gruchet specialized in the short-term disciplines on the railway . In 1959 he took third place in the amateur sprint at the World Railroad Championships in Amsterdam . He finished second three times in the prestigious sprint classic Grand Prix de Paris and third once before winning it in 1962. Twice - 1956 and 1960 - he started at the Olympic Games in sprint and tandem races , but was not able to place successfully.
From 1967 to 1968 Gruchet was a professional and was second in 1967 and first in 1968 in the French sprint championships.
