Valentino Gasparella (born May 30, 1935 in Isola Vicentina ) is a former Italian track cyclist , two-time sprint world champion and Olympic champion.

Valentino Gasparella was twice world champion in the sprint of amateurs, 1958 in Paris and 1959 in Amsterdam , after having finished third in Rocourt in 1957 . Also in 1958 and 1959 he won the classic Grand Prix de Paris ; In 1960 he finished third again in this race. 1958 was his most successful year, in addition to the world championship and victory in Paris, he also won the Italian sprint championship and the Copenhagen Grand Prix .

Gasparella took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1956 in Melbourne he won the gold medal in the team pursuit with Leandro Faggin , Antonio Domenicali , Franco Gandini and Virginio Pizzali , with a new world and Olympic record (4: 37.4 minutes). Four years later, at the Games in Rome , he won the bronze medal in the sprint.
