Arnaldo Carli (born July 30, 1901 in Milan , † September 14, 1972 in Corsico ) was an Italian cyclist and Olympic champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Carli started cycling at the age of 16. In 1919 he won the Bologna Grand Prix .

He was a participant in the 1920 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam . There he won the gold medal in the team pursuit at the track cycling competitions together with Primo Magnani , Ruggero Ferrario and Franco Giorgetti .

Carli became a professional driver and drove the Giro d'Italia in 1926 and 1931 , but retired in each case. Until the end of his career, he also competed in six-day races without achieving a front placement.
