Ruggero Ferrario (born October 7, 1897 in Milan , † April 5, 1976 ibid) was an Italian cyclist and Olympic champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Ferrario was a participant in the 1920 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam . There he won the gold medal in the team pursuit at the track cycling competitions together with Arnaldo Carli , Primo Magnani and Franco Giorgetti . In the Olympic race over 50 kilometers , he finished 4th in the victory of Henry George . He had already won the Umbria Tour (Giro dell'Umbria) in 1913. In 1919 he won the first edition of the Coppa Bernocchi . In 1921 he became a professional driver . The 3rd place in the Giro della Romagna 1923 was his best result as a professional.
