Jürgen Colombo

Jürgen Colombo (born September 2, 1949 in Zielona Góra ) is a former German cyclist .

Colombo began cycling in the Stuttgart-Feuerbach sports association . In 1971 Jürgen Colombo was third in the team pursuit at the World Track Cycling Championships in Varese (with Günter Haritz , Udo Hempel and Peter Vonhof ). In the following year he won the gold medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with the four-man track (Haritz, Hempel and Günther Schumacher ) from coach Gustav Kilian .

For this he received the silver bay leaf on September 11, 1970.

Colombo now lives in Grafenau- Dätzingen and runs a bicycle shop.
