Werner Stauff

Werner Stauff (born February 16, 1960 in Cologne , Germany) is a former German cyclist .

Athletic career

1982 drove Stauff at the German road Radmeisterschaften the amateurs to third place. He took part in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and became German champion in the amateur street race in 1986 . He started for the PSV Köln club . In 1988 he won the ninth stage of the peace run and finished the tour in 49th place in the overall classification. The next year he drove, his only one as a professional , for Team Stuttgart , the predecessor of Team Telekoms .

family

Werner Stauff is married to Beate Habetz , road world champion from 1978. They have two children, including the cyclist Andreas Stauff .
