Hanns Brinckmann

Hanns Brinckmann ( February 27, 1934 in Hanover - January 14, 2020 ) was a German racing cyclist .

In 1955 Hanns Brinckmann was third in the German championship in cyclo-cross racing . A year later he won the German championship title in the street race for amateurs in Ellmendingen . In 1956 he started in the International Peace Tour , but took a back place, he was 58th in the overall classification. In 1959 he also took part in the race around Magdeburg Cathedral and came second in front of around 50,000 spectators behind the GDR cycling idol Täve Schur .

In 1957 Brinckmann joined the professionals and moved to Belgium . He drove several classics and competed in German road championships from 1957 to 1960, where he took first places. He also started in several six-day races . In 1960 he ended his cycling career.
