Paul Unterkircher

Paul Unterkircher (* 1942 in Munich ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Since 1959, Unterkircher has been active in cycling. His greatest sporting success was winning the German championship in the amateur road race in 1966, which he won just short of a sprint ahead of Jürgen Tschan . Previously, he had only been able to draw attention to himself with three successes at the Bavarian championships. He won a silver medal with his club RC Herpersdorf at the championship in team time trial in 1966. In the following season he became a professional driver in the German torpedo team, in which Hennes Junkermann also drove. At the end of the season he ended his career.
