Kantarama Gahigiri

Kantarama Gahigiri (born December 13, 1976 in Geneva ) is a Rwandan-Swiss director , screenwriter and actress .

Life

After studying international relations in Switzerland, she decided to go to film and did a Masters in Communication and Film Production in New York. After her first experiences in the film industry there, she made her own film: Tapis Rouge (2014), a French-Swiss co-production.

Awards

For Tapis Rouge she received the award for best film at the Geneva International Film Festival and the award for best director at the Chelsea Film Festival.
