Erwin Derlick

Erwin Derlick (* 1939 ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Derlick, who only became an active cyclist at the age of 22, started for the German national team for the first time in 1966 , winning two stages in the Guatemala Tour and one stage in the 1966 International Tour of Rhineland-Palatinate . In 1967 he was third in the national road racing championships, in 1968 he was second and in 1970 he won the title ahead of Dieter Koslar . With his club, PSV 1922 Cologne, he won silver in the team time trial , three times he won bronze. In 1973 he finished second in the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour behind Peter Weibel . At the end of the season he won the title of German Mountain Champion . Among the most important German amateur road races he won 1966 around Cologne and 1970 around Frankfurt .
