Hanno Podbielski
Hanno Podbielski (born September 8, 1948 in Berlin ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
At the age of 20 Podbielski first appeared at the German track championships. He won the bronze medal in the single pursuit when Rupert Kratzer won. A year later, when Kratzer was defending his title, he was again third in the championship. In 1969 he was also third on the Berlin Tour . 1970 was then his most successful year. He won the 1901 German championship in team time trial with his club, Berliner Zugvogel . In September he won another title when he won the German mountain championship in front of the defending champion Horst Kämpfer . Podbielski had prepared intensively and drove the route several times over a week.
