Udo Sevink

Udo Sevink (* 1941 in Bocholt ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Sevink got into cycling at an early age through his father Albert, who himself was an active racing driver and later honorary chairman of the RV Radlerfreunde Bocholt association .

He specialized in track racing . In the team pursuit , he won his first title at the German championships in 1965 with his club mates Karl-Heinz Henrichs , Klaus Kobusch and Herbert Honz . A year later, this four-man defended the title with an identical line-up. In 1967 these four drivers won the title again. No team in the history of German cycling had succeeded in this. Sevink did not achieve any major victories in addition to the championship titles, and he was also denied a leap into the national team.

His younger brother Albert Sevink (* 1943) was also a cyclist.
