Hans-Peter Kanters

Hans-Peter Kanters (born January 9, 1942 in Pulheim ; † September 15, 1991 there ) was a German racing cyclist .

Cycling career

Hans-Peter Kanters was mainly successful as a cyclist on the track . In 1962 he was an amateur ( starting for the Schmitter Köln club ) German champion in the tandem race with Ehrenfried Rudolph . The following year he was German champion in the team pursuit .

After Kanters had finished third and second at the German championships in the professional sprint in 1964 and 1965 , he won the championship title in this discipline in 1966 and 1967.

From 1964 to 1967 Hans-Peter Kanters drove for the Ruberg team under team leader Wolfgang Gronen , but could not achieve any notable successes in road races. He also started in 31 six-day races .

Hans-Peter Kanters was the son of the Cologne six-day event organizer Peter Kanters .

Private

In 1974 Hans-Peter Kanters acted as a “virgin” in the carnival - the triumvirate of his hometown Pulheim.
