Ryan Mullen (born August 7, 1994 in Birkenhead , England ) is an Irish cyclist who is active on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2012 Ryan Mullen was European junior individual time trial runner-up , and at the road world championships, he finished ninth in the same discipline. In the same year he won the Chrono des Nations (Juniors). In 2013 he became Irish champion in the individual time trial (U23). At the UEC European Track Championships for the youngsters in the same year he won bronze in the scratch and in the single pursuit , at the road world championships he was seventh in the time trial. Also in 2013 he won the Chrono des Nations again, this time in the U23 class.

From 2014 Mullen started in the elite. At the World Track Championships in Cali he finished fourth in the single pursuit, and at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships he finished fifth in the individual time trial. In the same year he won the title of Irish road race champion, in 2017 he won the road race and individual time trial titles. At the UEC European Road Championships in 2017 , he finished third in the individual time trial.
