Colm Christle (* in Dublin ; † October 28, 2018 ) was an Irish cyclist .

In 1952, Colm Christle, who had learned to ride a bicycle at the age of 17, became the Irish road racing champion . The following year he won the first stage race An Post Rás , which is considered to be the "hour of birth" of Irish cycling. The idea for this race, the first stage race in Ireland, came from Colm's brother Joe Christle, a lawyer and Irish nationalist. He had sworn Colm and their common brother to have to win the race so that it would not be noticed that there was no prize money. In the second year of the event, Christle's brother Andy was killed in a car accident during the race.

After finishing his cycling career, Christle studied law and became a lawyer.
