Séamus "Sé" O'Hanlon , also Shay O'Hanlon , (born September 14, 1941 in Dublin ) is a former Irish cyclist .

Sean O'Hanlon was one of the most successful Irish amateur racing drivers from the 1960s to the 1970s. Four times alone - 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1966 - he won the Irish Rás Tailteann stage race , in which he won a total of 24 stages and wore the leader's jersey for 36 days. He also won the Tour of Ulster four times (1961, 1962, 1965 and 1966). In 1975 he was Irish road racing champion .

O'Hanlon was a member of one of three Irish cycling federations, the National Cycling Association (NCA), which was not a member of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The NCA was not recognized by the UCI because it saw itself as representing all Irish counties, including Northern Ireland . Therefore O'Hanlon could not start in international competitions. He later became president of the NCA and drove the unification of the three associations to "Irish Cycling", which took place in 1987.
