Nolan Hoffman (born April 23, 1985 in Franschhoek ) is a South African track and road cyclist .
Athletic career
Nolan Hoffman began his career in 2005 with the South African team Exel . In his first year there, he won a stage in the Tour d'Egypte . He was also successful in the one-day races Richelieu Classic, Vasbyt Classic and Pick 'n Pay OFM Classic. In 2006 he won the VW Herald and a stage of the Tour of Chong Ming Island. In the 2007 season he won the Lost City Classic, the Telkom Satellite Challengo and for the second time the Pick 'n Pay OFM Classic. He also won the bronze medal in the points run on the track at the B World Championship in Cape Town . Hoffman has been driving for the South African team Neotel since 2008 .
On October 18, 2009, Nolan Hoffman tested positive for testosterone use. The South African Association then banned him for 18 months until April 17, 2011.
At the UCI Track World Championships in Melbourne in 2012 , Hoffman won the silver medal in scratch . In 2015 he was African championship in points race . Two years later he won three titles as African champion , in the Omnium , in the team pursuit with Steven van Heerden , Jean Spies and Joshua van Wyk and together with van Heerden in the two-man team .
